Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation launched a personal initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, "Amir" in May 2007, and since the restructuring of the management of the sixth anniversary of its founding, specifically in May 2013 the Foundation launched several of leading initiatives aimed at enhancing Dubai's position as the United Arab Emirates on the cognitive map. The Foundation aims to strengthen the future generations and enable them to devise sustainable solutions; to facilitate the process of knowledge and research in the Arab world, also undertake to establish a knowledge-based societies, through research projects, activities and funding initiatives.
